We believe that the bible is the true and pure unadulterated word of God that is given by the Holy Spirit and given unto man. It is the bread of life for the bible believing Christian and the foundation of a personal relationship with God. 2 Timothy 3 : 16 (NKJV) All scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. The word of God is a double edge sword, Hebrews 4 : 12 (NKJV) For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
As believers we walk by faith not by sight. There are countless times we face situations, troubles and trials that are beyond our control. We face an enemy with an army that we cannot see, but we experience the effects of the enemy by his lies and deceptions within our lives each day. Whether it is sickness, diseases, lack of employment, broken marriages, division in families, accidents, death, substance abuse and failures in our personal lives. The word of God gives us the tools and the ability to stand up to the plot and plans of the enemy. Ephesians 6 : 11-18 (NKJV) Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
